Power-trowel polishing is one of the methods Ecoflor considers for large, open concrete floors. This page explains the site information needed to assess the method. For a warehouse refurbishment brief, see our warehouse concrete polishing service.
Assess the floor and access first
The review considers slab condition, clear working area, existing finishes and access for the equipment. Tell us about door dimensions, ramps, obstructions and restrictions on wet work. Floors needing substantial remedial grinding should not be priced on the assumption that polishing alone will complete the preparation.
Agree the process for the intended finish
The existing floor and the required appearance determine the treatment sequence. The proposal should describe the preparation, polishing stages and any densifier or protective treatment included. Agree the expected appearance and any trial area before work starts.
Our polished concrete services include other approaches where the condition, access or finish brief makes them more appropriate.
Plan wet-work and cleaning arrangements
Before selecting a wet process, confirm water access, protection of adjacent areas, collection arrangements and the route for removing process waste. Work areas and access routes should be agreed with the site team before the programme is fixed.
Use a project-specific programme
Clear floor area alone is not enough to confirm output. The programme also needs to account for preparation, edges, obstructions, repairs, cleaning and the specified finish. Ecoflor will discuss these items before providing a project allowance rather than promise a universal production rate.
Information to send for an assessment
Provide a plan or approximate dimensions, photographs, details of the existing floor and the desired finish. Include the working hours, access constraints, available services and whether adjacent operations will continue.
Request a Quotation with the site postcode, approximate floor area, photographs and required programme.
