Plain colours, flakes and quartz finishes
A coloured resin finish can refresh the appearance of a commercial interior and help define different areas. Decorative flake systems and quartz finishes offer other visual options. Discuss colour, sheen and texture using samples before the specification is agreed.
Where a thicker smooth resin finish is needed, compare self-smoothing epoxy flooring. The coating or topping should be selected for the substrate and operating conditions, as well as its appearance.
Match the coating to the working environment
Tell us about foot traffic, wheeled equipment, loads, likely spills and cleaning products. These details help define the required resistance to wear, impact and chemicals. Wet areas or entrances may require a different surface texture from dry internal areas.

Refurbishing an existing floor
Existing coatings need assessment for adhesion and compatibility. Damage, contamination and moisture can affect the proposed system, and some surfaces will require removal or repairs before recoating.

Plan access and the return to use
Share trading hours, production schedules and access restrictions. Preparation, application and curing require a planned work area, with protection of adjoining operations and any ventilation requirements agreed before installation.
Solvent-free does not mean a coating can be applied without considering staff, products or nearby activities. The programme and working arrangements must follow the selected system and site requirements.

Can a coating hide damage or unevenness?
Repairs and levelling may be needed first. A decorative coating should not be relied upon to conceal active cracks or correct substantial changes in level.
