Commercial Floor Levelling and Concrete Resurfacing

Commercial floor levelling and industrial concrete resurfacing

Ecoflor installs floor levelling and concrete resurfacing systems for commercial and industrial premises. We help prepare uneven or worn floors for their intended finish, from warehouse resurfacing to underlayments beneath commercial floor coverings.

Request a floor levelling quote with your site location, approximate area, existing floor condition and proposed finish. The required levels, traffic and installation programme will help determine a suitable system.

Industrial floor levelling

Large industrial warehouse interior with a smooth, freshly finished concrete floor, expertly achieved through precise floor levelling, featuring exposed beams and high ceilings.

Industrial levelling systems can be used to resurface suitable concrete floors or create a base for resin flooring. The specification needs to account for loading, traffic, substrate condition and whether the topping will remain exposed or receive a further coating.

For warehouses and manufacturing areas, tell us about vehicle routes, racking and any equipment with specific floor tolerances. Required flatness and levels should be agreed before installation. Layer thickness, preparation and joint details depend on the selected system and the existing slab.

Commercial floor levelling

A smoothing underlayment can prepare a suitable substrate for finishes such as vinyl, carpet tiles or other commercial floor coverings. We assess the floor and discuss the proposed covering so the levelling material, primer and subsequent installation requirements can be coordinated.

Door thresholds, adjoining floors and available build-up depth affect the solution. Drying requirements must also be considered before the final covering is installed; a surface that can be walked on is not necessarily ready to receive a floor finish.

Fibre-reinforced levelling systems

Fibre-reinforced levelling materials provide another option for refurbishment projects, including retail, office and other commercial interiors. Their suitability depends on the supporting substrate, required thickness and intended covering.

Where a floor includes timber or other substrates that may move, the construction and product requirements need careful assessment. A levelling layer does not replace structural repairs or make an unsuitable substrate ready for installation on its own.

Preparation, moisture and installation planning

Our surface preparation service can form part of the work. Existing coatings, adhesive residues, contamination and loose material need assessment, alongside cracks, joints and moisture conditions. The appropriate preparation and primer are selected for the substrate and proposed system.

Installation may be by hand or pump, depending on the material, area and access. We will discuss the work sequence, curing requirements and coordination with other trades. If the finished floor needs a protective coating, explore our industrial floor painting service or industrial resin flooring options.

Floor levelling questions

How much does commercial floor levelling cost?

Costs depend on floor area, average build-up depth, preparation, repairs, access and the chosen finish. Share photographs, plans and any level survey with your enquiry. A site assessment may be needed to establish the scope before a final quotation.

Can a levelling screed be the finished floor?

Some industrial systems are designed as wearing surfaces, while others are underlayments that need a covering. The proposed use and product specification determine whether a sealer, resin coating or another finish is required.

How thick should the levelling layer be?

The required depth depends on existing levels and the selected product. Different systems have different minimum and maximum application depths, so the build-up should be specified for the project rather than selected from a single general thickness range.

When can the final floor covering be installed?

Follow-on work depends on the levelling product, application depth, site conditions and covering requirements. We can discuss these requirements when planning the installation; moisture checks may be needed before a covering is laid.
