Flooring for Electronics Manufacturers

Resin flooring for electronics manufacturing and assembly

Ecoflor installs flooring for commercial and industrial electronics facilities. Where electrostatic discharge control is required, we discuss the flooring specification with your project team and the person responsible for your ESD control programme.

Request an electronics manufacturing flooring quote with the site location, area, substrate and required performance.

Define the ESD requirements first

A floor used for personnel grounding works as part of a wider system, including suitable footwear and the grounding arrangements. Its performance needs to be assessed in that context. The EOS/ESD Association explains flooring and footwear systems within its guidance on ESD control.

Provide your required electrical performance, test methods and acceptance criteria before a product is selected. A standard seamless resin floor should not be assumed to provide the required ESD protection.

Match the finish to the working area

Assembly, packing, stores and circulation areas may have different needs. Tell us about equipment, wheeled traffic, cleaning products and any chemical exposure. Our anti-static flooring options and industrial resin systems can be discussed against the project brief.

Preparation and installation planning

The existing floor needs assessment for moisture, contamination, coatings and repairs. Surface preparation and the specified installation details form part of the plan.

Share your shutdown window, access restrictions and requirements for work near sensitive equipment. Agree preparation, application, curing and any acceptance testing before the area returns to use.

Electronics flooring questions

Is all resin flooring anti-static?

No. The product and complete installation need to meet the electrical requirements of your project. Include the specification and acceptance criteria in your enquiry.

What affects the cost?

Area, preparation, repairs, specified system, installation details and access affect the quotation. Plans and photographs help establish the scope.

What information should we provide?

Send the floor area, current substrate, operating conditions, required ESD performance, testing requirements and available programme. Include details of the footwear and grounding approach where relevant to the specification.
