Floor painting for warehouses, factories and commercial premises
Ecoflor provides industrial floor painting and warehouse floor coating installation for commercial and industrial premises. We assess the existing floor, prepare the surface and select a coating to suit the traffic, cleaning routine and working conditions of the area.
Whether you are refurbishing a warehouse, improving a factory floor or marking out working zones, request a floor painting quote with your location, approximate floor area and planned timescale.
Choosing an industrial floor coating
A floor coating needs to suit the substrate and its intended use. Forklift traffic, pedestrian routes, spillages and cleaning can place different demands on the finish. We can discuss epoxy resin coatings and other suitable options after reviewing the project requirements.
Tell us about any chemicals, oils or frequent washing in the area so the proposed system can be checked against those conditions. Slip resistance, colour, surface texture and ease of cleaning should be considered together; performance depends on the selected coating and how the floor is used and maintained.
Surface preparation and repairs
Preparation is an essential part of a floor painting project. Existing coatings, contamination, cracks and uneven areas need assessment before new material is applied. Our floor preparation service forms part of the installation plan.
Where the surface needs more extensive work, we can discuss repairs or floor levelling. Painting alone will not correct structural movement or significant unevenness. Moisture conditions and compatibility with any existing finish also affect the choice of system.
Warehouse floor painting and line marking
Colour zones and line markings can help distinguish pedestrian routes, storage bays and working areas. We can include demarcation in a warehouse or factory floor painting project, with the layout agreed around your operational requirements.
For heavier demands or a different type of finish, explore our industrial resin flooring systems. A coating, screed or other resin system should be specified according to the condition of the floor and the work taking place above it.
Planning work around your operations
Access, preparation, application and curing all influence the installation programme. Let us know whether the area can be cleared, whether work needs to be phased and when pedestrian or vehicle access must resume. The return-to-service time will depend on the chosen product and site conditions.
Floor painting questions
How much does industrial floor painting cost?
The floor area, existing condition, preparation, repair needs, coating specification and access arrangements all affect the price. Photographs and an outline of how the space is used help us discuss the next step; a site assessment may be needed before a final quotation.
Can an existing painted floor be recoated?
It may be possible, but the existing coating needs to be assessed for adhesion, condition and compatibility. Loose or unsuitable material may need removal before the new system is installed.
How long before the floor can be used?
Curing requirements differ between systems and can be affected by temperature and other site conditions. We will discuss the proposed programme and the appropriate time for pedestrian and vehicle traffic as part of the specification.
Warehouse floor painting project examples
Our Gloucester warehouse floor coating and repair project shows the preparation and repairs involved in refurbishing a worn concrete floor for handover. At DHL Croydon, the refurbishment included joint repairs, diamond grinding and a high-build epoxy coating.
For the wider specification, including traffic, floor condition and alternative finishes, see our warehouse and factory flooring service.
Discuss your commercial floor painting project
Send Ecoflor your project details, including the site postcode, approximate area, current floor condition, traffic and preferred dates. We work on commercial and industrial flooring projects.
