Flooring installation for military and defence premises
Ecoflor supplies and installs flooring for military and defence applications, including workshops, plant rooms, kitchens and other operational buildings. We discuss the use of each area, existing substrate and project specification before proposing the installation scope.

Match the system to the working area
Workshops and maintenance areas may require industrial resin flooring selected around traffic, equipment and fluid exposure. Kitchens and food preparation areas have different cleaning and detailing requirements; see our hygienic flooring systems.
For aviation facilities, our aircraft hangar flooring page covers preparation and system selection. The Wattisham Airfield case study provides a completed project example.
Performance and specification requirements
Provide the required traffic and loading, cleaning regime, chemical exposure and any specified electrical or other performance criteria. Supporting product evidence and acceptance requirements should be agreed for the proposed system. No single flooring product meets every military or defence application.
Where electrical performance is specified, discuss anti-static flooring options against the project brief. Exterior surfaces and exposed decks need separate assessment of the proposed location, substrate and operating conditions.
Preparation and refurbishment
Existing finishes, contamination, damaged concrete and joints need assessment before installation. Our floor preparation service forms part of the work, with repairs and coating removal considered where needed.
Coordinate site access and handover
Share contractor access, induction, supervision and documentation requirements before the programme is agreed. Identify areas that must remain operational and allow for preparation, application, curing and any specified inspection stages.
Military and defence flooring questions
Can you quote to a supplied specification?
Send the specification, drawings and required evidence for review. The team can confirm the proposed scope and raise any points that need clarification.
Can work be phased around operations?
Phasing depends on the site layout, access and chosen materials. Provide the available work windows and operational restrictions for assessment.
What affects the quotation?
Floor area, preparation, repairs, system selection, detailing and access influence the price. A site assessment may be needed to confirm existing conditions.
