When is a water-based coating suitable?
The choice depends on traffic, wear, cleaning, spillages and the condition of the substrate. Discuss whether the area is used mainly by pedestrians or also by pallet trucks and vehicles. Heavier demands may call for a different epoxy coating or another industrial resin flooring system.
Matt, satin or gloss appearances may be available depending on the selected product. Colour and texture should be agreed alongside practical requirements such as cleaning and slip resistance.
Preparation before coating
We assess existing paint, contamination, surface damage and moisture before selecting the preparation and coating approach. Loose or incompatible material may need removal, and repairs may be required before application.
Our floor preparation service forms part of the installation plan. A thin coating follows the surface beneath it, so substantial unevenness may require separate levelling work.
Planning work in occupied premises
Water-based does not mean that a product can be applied without any site restrictions. Ventilation, adjacent activities, stored materials and curing requirements need to be considered for the chosen system. Tell us about sensitive processes and access needs before the programme is agreed.

Is a water-based coating suitable for forklift traffic?
It depends on the particular product, loading and frequency of traffic. Share those details so a suitable system can be selected. A light-duty coating should not be assumed appropriate for every warehouse.
Can it be applied over an existing painted floor?
Only after the existing finish has been assessed for condition, adhesion and compatibility. Surface preparation and removal of unsound material may be necessary.
How much does installation cost?
Floor area, preparation, repairs, coating specification and access influence the price. Photographs and plans help with an initial discussion; a site assessment may be needed before a final quotation.
Can the finish include a textured surface?
Textured options depend on the selected system. The required grip and cleaning routine should be assessed together, taking account of water or other contamination in use.
