Concrete-effect flooring for commercial interiors
Ecoflor installs decorative concrete-effect floors for retail, hospitality, offices and other commercial interiors. A specified overlay can create a cement-style appearance where polishing the existing concrete slab is not the chosen approach.

A concrete appearance with a decorative overlay
The appearance comes from the selected material, pigments and application technique. Colour variation and texture are part of the design discussion, so review samples before agreeing the finish.
Compare decorative polished screed, microtopping and microcement with Ecoflor. If the intention is to polish the slab itself, see our commercial polished concrete service.
Colour and matt finishes
Share design references, the desired colour and the intended lighting. The examples below illustrate concrete-effect appearances; confirm current colours and the proposed protective finish for your project.
Specify for the intended use
Discuss footfall, furniture movement, cleaning products and likely spills. Entrances, serving areas and general customer spaces may need different surface requirements. The protective treatment and texture should be selected for those conditions.
Agree the cleaning and maintenance requirements alongside the appearance. A decorative finish needs appropriate care and should not be assumed resistant to every stain or type of damage.
Preparation and floor height
Ecoflor assesses existing coatings, contamination, moisture, cracks and levels before an overlay is proposed. Surface preparation, repairs and levelling form part of the scope where required.
The selected system determines the build height. Check doors, thresholds, joints and adjoining floors before installation. An overlay does not replace assessment of an unstable substrate.
Installation planning
Share the available closure period and target completion date. Preparation, application stages, protective finishing and curing all affect the programme. Access and protection of adjacent areas should be agreed before work begins.
Concrete-effect flooring questions
Can it go over an existing floor?
Possibly, after assessment of condition and compatibility. Removal or repairs may be needed before the overlay is installed.
Will it look exactly like a sample?
Samples establish the intended appearance, but applied decorative finishes can show variation. Discuss acceptable colour and texture variation before installation.
What affects the cost?
Area, preparation, repairs, chosen finish, detailing and access determine the quotation.
