Commercial Polished Concrete North Wales

Concrete polishing for commercial premises in North Wales

Ecoflor provides polished concrete flooring and grinding services for commercial and industrial projects in North Wales. Discuss an existing concrete floor or a new-build flooring specification with our team. We do not undertake domestic installations.

What should be assessed before polishing?

Tell us whether the slab is new, exposed or covered by another finish. Share photographs and any available records of coatings, repairs or construction. Identify changes in level, joints and damaged areas so that the initial discussion covers the whole floor, not just the desired sheen.

Existing concrete sets limits on the finished appearance. Visible aggregate may vary across the surface, and repairing cracks does not necessarily make them disappear. Husqvarna’s concrete appearance guidance explains these points. Agree an appropriate trial area and the standard by which the result will be assessed.

Define the finish before comparing quotations

Our polished concrete service is the starting point for discussing the proposed process and finish. State the level of sheen and visible aggregate you have in mind, the use of the space and the cleaning arrangements. Confirm the current system specification rather than relying on a photograph or a finish name alone.

Four concrete finishes labelled Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, arranged by levels of surface grind and gloss, showing differences in texture and shine.
Illustrative finish comparison; agree the current specification and a representative sample.

Ask each quotation to identify preparation, repairs, edges and the areas included. Where an existing slab cannot provide the required finish, polished screeds and overlays may be considered as a separate floor build-up, subject to assessment.

Plan the work around the building

Explain access for equipment, unloading arrangements and available working hours. Identify fixed installations and areas that cannot be cleared. Discuss floor preparation, the sequence of other trades and protection of the completed surface before agreeing the programme.

If you are comparing polishing with a resin finish, see our North Wales resin flooring service. For a Wrexham factory or warehouse project involving several floor types, our Wrexham industrial flooring page provides a wider project route.
