Polished Concrete Bristol & Gloucestershire

Commercial concrete polishing in Bristol and Gloucestershire

Ecoflor provides polished concrete and floor grinding services for commercial and industrial projects in Bristol and Gloucestershire. Discuss an existing warehouse, retail or business floor, or a new-build specification, with our team. We do not undertake domestic installations.

Start with the concrete you have

Polishing an existing slab is different from laying a new decorative covering. Its condition, previous treatments and construction influence the result. Send photographs showing the general surface, cracks, joints, repairs and any areas where an old finish is being removed.

Aggregate exposure can vary across a slab, and existing cracks may remain visible after repair. Grinding and polishing cannot guarantee a uniform, unmarked appearance. Husqvarna’s guidance on concrete appearance explains these natural variations. Agree a representative trial area and acceptance criteria for your project before confirming the finish.

Agree appearance and specification

Discuss the desired sheen and level of visible aggregate alongside traffic, cleaning and the use of the space. Photographs are useful design references, but another floor’s appearance does not establish what your slab will look like. Our polished concrete service provides the wider starting point for system selection.

Existing slab or a separate floor build-up?

If the existing floor cannot deliver the required appearance, discuss alternatives rather than assuming more polishing will resolve it. Polished screeds and overlays are separate specifications and need their own assessment of the base, build-up and adjoining details.

For a project involving new floor levels, see our Bristol commercial screeding service. If a resin finish is being compared with concrete polishing, our Bristol resin flooring page gives the relevant enquiry route.

Plan preparation, access and handover

Tell us about previous coverings, available working hours and access for equipment. Discuss floor preparation, repairs, edges and areas around fixed installations as part of the scope. Agree the sequence with other trades and the cleaning and maintenance instructions required at handover.
