Looking for eco-friendly resin flooring for a commercial project? Start by defining the environmental requirements and checking evidence for the proposed system. A general description such as “green” or “sustainable” is not enough to compare products or establish suitability for your premises.
Ecoflor installs commercial and industrial flooring only. Send your project brief for a quotation, including any environmental documentation required by your design or procurement team.
Set a clear flooring brief
Record the floor area, existing base, traffic, cleaning regime, likely spills and installation programme. Include appearance requirements and any project-specific environmental criteria. A floor must suit its operating conditions as well as the procurement brief.
Compare epoxy flooring and polyurethane flooring by the proposed specification. Neither material name alone establishes environmental performance.
Ask for evidence that applies to the proposed system
- Product identification: confirm the named products and complete build-up being offered.
- Environmental information: request available declarations or supporting assessments and check which products and activities they cover.
- Emissions requirements: ask for the evidence required by your project team, with the relevant test method and scope.
- Material-content claims: ask what any recycled or bio-based claim refers to and how it is documented.
- Maintenance and replacement: establish the care requirements and how future repairs or refurbishment would be assessed.
Ask your specifier to confirm whether the information meets the project requirements. Avoid treating a claim about one component as a statement about the whole installed floor.
Assess the existing floor before planning replacement
Share photographs, previous specifications and known defects. Discuss whether an existing surface can be retained, repaired or prepared for a new finish, and what assessment is needed. Retaining a base should be evaluated alongside compatibility, condition and expected use.
Our resin flooring installation guide explains the project questions to address around preparation, access, programme and handover.
Compare quotations on the same basis
Ask each proposal to identify preparation, repairs, system thickness, finish, edges, joints and return-to-service arrangements. Include cleaning, inspection and potential refurbishment when considering longer-term costs. Do not assume a fixed lifespan, lower carbon impact or financial saving without supporting project information.
For London premises, provide access restrictions, delivery arrangements and working-hour requirements alongside your postcode. These details help define the installation scope.
Plan maintenance and handover
Request the cleaning instructions for the installed system, including compatible products and equipment. Agree what defects should be reported and how repairs will be assessed. Generic sanding, recoating or cleaning advice should not replace the system-specific instructions.
Keep the product specification, environmental documentation and maintenance information with your building records so future facilities teams can identify the finish and its care requirements.
Discuss your commercial flooring requirements
Send Ecoflor your location, approximate area, existing floor details, intended use, preferred finish and completion dates. Attach any environmental or procurement requirements so these can be considered during specification and quotation.
