As part of the new U-Student Village for Sunderland University at The Forge, Wearside, The Meeting Place was designed to provide a meeting space for students that was trendy and vibrant.
The student social facility and convenience store would have high footfall and required an easy to maintain floor that would be hard wearing. Ecoflor worked with the design and build contractor on the format, advising that a HTC Superfloor Platinum finish would be the best fit solution.
It was decided that, to compliment the Superfloor, a custom coloured Lafarge Artevia concrete slab would be installed to grind and polish.
Ecoflor completed the HTC Superfloro grinding and polishing process in less than a week using their modern, dust free HTC machines whilst other trades worked nearby to maintain construction programme momentum.
The floor finish was a success with new students and Ecoflor graduated with flying colours!
