When Rich Mix decided to carry out a full refurbishment of their busy Bethnal Green Road centre, new floors were high on the list of priorities. A hard wearing seamless resin floor was the first choice capable of withstanding high footfall.
Working with the refurbishment contractor and the architect, Ecoflor recommended that floors were levelled prior to any resin floor finish as the existing levels and substrate profile was poor. A high performance resilient polyurethane floor topping was chosen over standard high gloss epoxy systems, with the polyurethane giving significantly higher scratch and abrasion resistance.
With tight contract deadlines, Ecoflor installed over 1,110m2 of high performance levelling screed after diamond grinding surface preparation to provide the best possible surface for resin floor installation.
Once the levelling screed had cured, Ecoflor installed its seamless satin polyurethane resin floor system throughout with a light grey UV resistant finish to the ground floor and an anthracite grey on upper gallery floors.
