Polished Concrete Wales
Ecoflor were contacted by a main contractor that was involved in a proposal to refurbish an empty industrial building for a major automotive parts manufacturer. Following a successful fit out of a manufacturing facility in America, the client had decided that a polished concrete surface would provide them with the best floor finish for their process.
Ecoflor worked with Interserve to create a sample area for client approval and subsequently were awarded the contract to create nearly 8,000m2 of HTC Superfloor polished concrete.
As the contract had tight deadlines, Ecoflor deployed its HTC 1500ixt ride-on grinder supplemented by several walk behind grinding machines and created the Superfloor finish on rolling day and night shifts.
After grinding off over 20 years of previous resin paint finishes, we ground and polished the concrete slab to reveal a stunning finish with some of the best aggregate distribution we have experienced in concrete. Toyoda Gosei were delighted with the polished concrete finish and subsequently Ecoflor were awarded the contract to demarcate the finish, completing over 2 kilometres of line marking and crossings.
