Telford Homes PLc were charged with transforming the existing Denning Point development and creating the stunning new Cityscape residential development.
Bsed around 128 apartments over 12 floors, Cityscape on Commercial Street is a luxury residential development for the Aldgate area.
The newly formed underground car parking area had to be coated in two phases to facilitate the removal of the tower crane used for the Cityscape tower contruction. The specification called for a methyl methacrylate (MMA) deck coating to be installed. Ecoflor were quick to point out the inherint risks with installing MMA to basement areas where the Denning Point apartments over the basement were already occupied. No smell or odour could be produced which may cause a risk to the residents.
Ecoflor proposed their economic Traffic 300 solvent free epoxy based basement and intermediate deck coating system as a standard cure system with no odour.
The existing concrete deck was prepared using vacuum controlled captive shot blasting on a ride on unit for speed and localised repair to the deck were udnertaken before the car park flooring was installed.
A filled epoxy base coat was installed and fully broadcast with anti-slip aggregate throughout. Upon cure the light grey top coat was flow applied throughout retaining the textured anti-slip finish for safety. Black bay line marking and bay number completed the look with safe waiting zones for the exit traffic light system adding to the floors easy to use layout.
Ecoflor also completed all decoration to walls and columns through to create a light and fresh two colour finish.
